A global outreach program of the 2021 Winter Institute of Medical Physics
Started in 1979, the annual Winter Institute of Medical Physics (WIMP) provides a unique environment for participants from academics, industry, and clinics large and small to come together and share their ideas and work on a variety of topics in oncology, imaging, education, and technology.
A major outreach component of the 2021 Winter Institute of Medical Physics meeting will be the Worldwide Innovations in Medical Physics (WIMP @ WIMP 2021) competition. Our goal is to showcase innovations in science, technology, and novel “global” approaches to teaching and training being investigated and developed by early career medical physicists around the world. The competition is open to individuals nearing completion or within 5 years of finishing an advanced degree, fellowship, or training program! Cash prizes of $250 USD for up to 20 semi-finalists and $1000 USD for up to 8 finalists will be awarded. First submissions are due February 12th, 2021.
If you are interested in participating in the WIMP @ WIMP 2021 competition, please see the full details and instructions for submissions at www.GoWIMP.org
