The International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP) represents over 18,000 medical physicists worldwide and 80 adhering national member organisations.
The mission of IOMP is to advance medical physics practice worldwide by disseminating scientific and technical information, fostering the educational and professional development of medical physicists, and promoting the highest quality medical services for patients.

- On-Line Encyclopaedia of Medical Physics of Medical Physics Launched at World Congress -
The encyclopaedia with 3,200 entries, free on the Internet at this link, is linked to a Multilanguage (25 languages) dictionary of terms. IOMP is one of the partners of a consortium which has which developed the encyclopaedia with funding from the EU. Go to website for full details.
