Brief Description of Academic Program(s), Clinical Training, and Duration: 1) The scientific program consists of lectures on doismetry, and treatment planning, signal processing and imaging techniques (MRI, PET, SPECT, US) and modeling of biological and physiological systems (2-3 courses are lectured yearly, overall number of courses related to the medical physics is more than 10).
2) Four-year clinical practice in the institutes with the notified educational status.
3) Examination in Radiaton Protection (Radiation safety officer), and
4) Examination in degree of Hospital Physicist organized by the qualification board of hospital physicists. 
Number of students and faculty for Program(s): 12 registered Ph.D. students, Faculty of Science
Accreditation: The education program has been approved by the national qualification board of hospital physicists.
Language(s) of Instruction: Mainly in Finnish, notes are also available in English
